Ingredients:
- 700ml Bottle Passata
- 450gm of Pork Mince (Beef Mince or a combination of both will work too)
- 2 x 500gm packets of bucatini dry pasta
- 1 x onion
- 1 x carrot
- 2 x cloves of garlic
- 1 x stick of celery
- 1 x stick of rosemary
- 1 x cup of red wine
- Olive Oil
Method:
- Chop all vegetables into a fine dice.
- Add a good glug of olive oil to a hot heavy base pot.
- Reduce heat to medium and add in carrot, stir for 1 minute.
- Add celery to the pan, stir for 1 minute.
- Add Onion and Garlic to the pan and stir all vegetables for 3-5 minutes until onion is translucent.
- Add in mince, break up and cook until brown.
- Add in red wine, stir for 3 minutes.
- Add in Passata and fill ½ of the bottle with water and add.
- Cook at a simmer for 30 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
- 10 minutes before the sauce is ready, add pasta to a large pot of boiling water and cook to the packet instructions.
- Serve sauce on top of a bed of pasta.
