Ingredients

  • 100 g oats
  • 2 tbsp white chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
  • 350 ml milk of your choice (I use almond or coconut)
  • 50 ml maple syrup
  • 30 ml all-natural vanilla extract
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 ripe pears
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • The night before, put the oats, chia, and pumpkin seeds into a bowl or container, pour over the milk, and add the maple syrup, vanilla, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Mix well, then cover and pop into the fridge overnight.
  • In the morning, chop the pears into little chunks.
  • Add maple syrup to a hot pan. Add the pears, cinnamon, a pinch of salt, and a splash of vanilla extract.
  • Cook until pears are softened slightly and caramelised.
  • Place bircher muesli into a bowl, and top with caramelised pears.
