Coconut, Ginger & Turmeric Porridge

  • 1 tbsp Turmeric, freshly grated
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, freshly grated
  • 250ml Water
  • 250ml Oat milk
  • 300ml Coconut milk
  • 200g Rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp Coconut sugar
  • Pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon, ground
  • 1 Banana, sliced
  • 2 Passionfruit, halved and seeds scooped
  • 4 tbsp Coconut, fresh grated or shaved


  1. Grate the fresh turmeric and ginger into the water and leave to stand for 15 minutes to infuse or cold infuse in the fridge overnight.
  2. Place the turmeric & ginger infusion with the oat milk, coconut milk, rolled oats and coconut sugar into a saucepan and place onto a low to medium heat.
  3. Gently stir and heat the mixture to a simmer and cook for 6-8 minutes or until the mixture thickens.
  4. Remove from the heat and stir in the salt, divide the mixture into four bowls and top with fresh banana, passion fruit seeds, fresh grated or shaved coconut and a light dust of cinnamon powder.
