Quick & Easy Beef Pho

Pho, pronounced fuh, is a Vietnamese noodle soup that is typically made with a rich broth, rice noodles, and protein. There are many different variations of pho, but the basic ingredients are usually the same.

This recipe for Cheats Pho is a quick and easy way to make this delicious dish at home. The broth is made with beef stock, spring onions, ginger, and shallots. Ingredients

  • 1 L Massel beef stock
  • 1 small beef fillet
  • Knob of ginger
  • 1 bunch spring onions
  • 2 shallots
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 packet hakubaku noodles
  • 1 bunch Coriander
  • 1 cup Bean sprouts
  • 1 long red chilli

Instructions

  • Start by making your cheats pho broth. Add the stock to a pot with spins onions, ginger and shallots, and allow to boil for 10-15 minutes. Season with fish sauce and a touch of soy sauce.
  • Meanwhile, in salted boiling water, cook the noodles and set aside
  • Slice the beef fillet, super thin. Set aside
  • To serve, place the noodles in the bottom of the bowl, top with the raw beef and pour over the hot broth, to cook the beef and serve with herbs, garnishes and sauces
